Maintenance
The maintenance system tracks the physical state of the business location through two values:
Dirt per craft action — each craft increases the location's dirt level by a configurable percentage
Clean per item use — employees can use a designated cleaning item to reduce the dirt level
When the dirt level is high, it can affect business operations depending on your server's configuration. Keeping the location clean is an active responsibility for employees.
Setting Up the Maintenance Zone
For the cleaning and maintenance system to work, each business requires a Business Polyzone configured in-game. Without it, employees will not be able to perform cleaning actions regardless of the dirt level.
Creating the Zone
Open the Admin Panel and navigate to the Home tab
Select the target job from the job selector
Click Create Job Zone — this opens the in-game zone creator
In the zone type selector, choose Business Polyzone
Place points to define the zone boundary.
Once all points are placed, confirm the zone to save it
The polyzone now defines the physical area where employees can trigger cleaning actions. Employees must be inside this zone to interact with the maintenance system.
Notes
Each business should have one Business Polyzone that reasonably covers the interior or operational area of the location
If the zone is too small, employees may be unable to trigger cleaning even when inside the building
The zone can be edited or deleted at any time from the Home → Zones tab in the Admin panel
Use Toggle Debug on the zone to visualize its boundaries in-game and verify the shape is correct before publishing to players
