Zones

Zones are persistent music areas placed anywhere in the world — clubs, restaurants, stores, rooftops, or any custom location. Each zone plays a shared server-controlled queue that all nearby players hear simultaneously. Zones are created and managed through the Admin Panel without any file editing or server restarts.

Creating a Zone

Open the Admin Panel, switch to the Zones tab, and click Add Zone. A form appears with the following options:

Field
Description

Label

The display name players see when the zone appears as a device (e.g. "Club Maze").

Required Job

If set, only players with that job see the zone as a connectable device. Leave blank to allow all players.

Volume

Default playback volume for the zone, from 10% to 100%.

Radius

Audio hearing range in meters. Controls how far outside the poly boundary players can still hear the zone.

Indoor

When enabled, audio outside the polyzone boundary is strongly muffled — simulating walls. When players step inside, sound gradually fades to full volume.

Once the form is filled out, clicking Start Placement hides the panel and enters the zone placement mode.

Placement Mode

The camera shifts to a top-down view above the player's position. Controls:

  • Left Click — place a boundary point

  • Backspace — undo the last point

  • Enter — confirm the polygon (requires at least 3 points)

  • Right Click — cancel placement

  • WASD / Space / Ctrl / Shift — move the camera around

As points are placed, a live preview of the polygon and its shape is drawn in the world. Once confirmed, the zone is registered immediately on the server and starts appearing in-game — no restart needed.
